GENERATE SPONSORSHIP CONTINUES GROWTH WITH THREE NEW HIRES

Generate Sponsorship has continued to cement its position as the UK’s fastest growing sponsorship consultancy* with three new agency hires this year to add to a new business partnership and a series of new business wins.

The company has enjoyed continual year on year growth since its inception in 2003 and the recruitment drive comes as Generate were placed 13th within the Marketing Sponsorship League 2010 following a 43% increase in the business since 2009.

The Generate team is now bolstered by three new members – Mike Mainwaring, Ben Bradley and Victoria Heiden – who will work across the sponsorship consultancy, Olympic projects team and the PR team respectively.

Mike Mainwaring joins Generate as Director of the Sponsorship Consultancy division and will oversee strategic planning and evaluation across all accounts. Mike has over 10 years commercial and sponsorship experience, having spent 7 years managing Carlsberg UK’s sponsorship programme and heading up the sponsorship and events division at Barclays.

Alongside Mike, Generate has developed a market leading sponsorship evaluation model, designed to demonstrate the tangible impact sponsorship has on brand and business. It also includes other methodologies, mapping sponsorship’s effectiveness through to evaluating sponsorship’s efficiency when placed against other marketing activity.

Generate Sponsorship managing director Rupert Pratt said, “It’s a real coup to get someone of Mike’s calibre on board. He will add strategic insight and evaluation rigour to all of our clients going forward. The current model we have developed would be invaluable for any marketing or sponsorship director looking to demonstrate sponsorship’s value to their Board”.

Ben Bradley joins the Sponsorship Consultancy division as a Senior Sponsorship Consultant with a particular focus on brands wanting to leverage the 2012 Olympic Games. Ben has over 5 years experience in sport, sponsorship and brand marketing and comes to Generate from roles both agency side and client side at Vodafone in New Zealand.

Victoria Heiden joins the growing activation team as junior account manager with three years consumer experience working for major brands, entertainment properties and sporting events.  Victoria will focus on PR leverage for The Co-operative across its expanding music, sport and entertainment sponsorship properties.

Rupert added, “We are tremendously excited about the team we have in place and their potential to add value to new and current projects in 2011. Generate Sponsorship sets out to attract the most talented individuals in the sponsorship and entertainment industry and we will continue to do so throughout this period of rapid expansion. Our outstanding year on year growth can be attributed to our clients but ultimately to our exceptional staff who continue to make Generate the dynamic, forward-thinking agency it is.”
