Generate-Helios Olympic Specialist Lands in London to Lead 2012 Efforts

Li Li Leung, former Managing Director of the Helios China office, has recently arrived in London to become Managing Director of the partnership between Generate Sponsorship and Helios Partners.  Having founded the Helios China office in 2005, Li Li oversaw the growth of the office and was involved in the management and servicing of several Beijing 2008 Olympic sponsors including Volkswagen, Lenovo, Samsung, adidas, Snickers, and BHP Billiton.

Generate Sponsorship is one of the UK’s most dynamic and innovative sponsorship agencies, delivering accountable solutions for both brands and rights holders.  Helios executives, specialists in the Olympic Movement and other world-class sporting events, have been involved with every Olympic Games since Albertville in 1992 in various roles with the IOC, sponsors and Organizing Committees.  The two entities have come together to create a strategic partnership to bring a full service sports marketing solution to the UK and European marketplace.

Li Li will work closely with Carter Westfall, Vice President – Helios, who has been working with clients in the UK since 2007.  “Li Li’s experience in Beijing will prove invaluable as we expand our presence in Europe leading up to the 2012 Olympic Games,” said Chris Renner, President – Helios Partners China.

Rupert Pratt, Managing Director of Generate Sponsorship, commented: “We’re delighted to have Li Li lead our efforts around London 2012 and beyond. She brings a wealth of Olympic experience that is not found in this marketplace.”

“I’m looking forward to further developing the Generate-Helios partnership and working to make the 2012 Olympics successful for sponsors and other stakeholders. Having worked on the most recent Summer Olympic Games, we are now in a great position to make that possible”, added Ms. Leung.
